Aaron has over two decades in the investment world and attributes his success to the people and firms he’s worked for.
Aaron began his career with Price Waterhouse as an assurance auditor. It was there that he learned to read and dissect financial statements. After a few years, Aaron took a job with Metropolitan West Asset Management, a Los Angeles-based bond fund manager. Working at MetWest meant working with one of the bond industry’s most sophisticated fixed income investment teams. It was there that Aaron learned about the complexities of bonds and credit default swaps and how to use them to generate attractive portfolio returns. Next, Aaron migrated north to San Francisco where he joined the high yield team at Wells Capital Management, the asset management arm of Wells Fargo Bank.
Four years after joining Wells Capital, Aaron left the bond market and became a private investor. He is an LP in numerous funds and private investment vehicles. For direct equity investments, Aaron focuses on early-stage companies.
Aaron is a graduate of Marquette University and no stranger to cold weather. He is a board member of the Providence Milwaukie Foundation and serves on the finance committee. Originally from the Midwest, Aaron and his family now reside in Portland and enjoy spending time at the Oregon coast and Mt. Hood.
