Gaylord is the CIO, Chief Investment Officer, for Mill Street Financial, LLC. He leads the management and ongoing development of Mill Street’s small cap strategy. With over 21 years of investment management experience in public equities covering domestic small, mid and large cap stock, Mr. Lyman’s scope of experience includes portfolio management and research analysis, along with marketing and client service.
Prior to joining Mill Street, Gaylord served as the Senior Portfolio manager at Affinity Investment Advisors, LLC. In a previous tenure, he co-founded Kohala Capital Partners, LLC, where he served as Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Small Cap strategy. Before his tenure there, he was a member of the investment team at Becker Capital Management, Inc., where he served as a Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Small Cap strategy and a Research Analyst on the domestic equity team.
Earning an M.B.A. in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from Harvard College, Mr. Lyman holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Gaylord played baseball at Harvard and is an avid Red Sox fan. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports and an occasional round of golf.
